Temple Complexes

Yeoju Headquarters Temple Complex

This temple complex is located in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. Surrounded by low mountains, the temple complex has a warm and cozy ambience. The temple complex was built in November 1986, and the current Bonjeon Building (main building) and Daesoon Hall were added in 1990 due to a rapid increase in the number of disciples. After moving the headquarters from Junggok to Yeoju in February of 1993, the former temple complex in Yeoju was finally recognized as being worthy of redesignation through having its status elevated from 'temple complex' to 'headquarters.' There are 40 buildings harmoniously arranged in their stately glory on a site of 165,000㎡.
Most major rituals and events such as Gongbu*, Sugang*, Devotional Offerings(chiseong)* and Bonbuseong* are performed at this location.

*Gongbu: one of the spiritual cultivations performed by a team of 36 participants who devotedly recite certain incantations for 24 hours without a break. *Sugang: a three-day educational course performed by a team of 72 members to enhance their qualifications as disciples. *Devotional Offerings(Chiseong): a ritual ceremony to show one's gratitude with utmost sincerity for the grace of Sangje and other great deities. *Bonbuseong: a monthly event in which the representatives of executives dedicate offerings collected from general members for Gucheon Sangje.
